The Aiper Scuba E1 Robotic Pool Cleaner has the following:
  • Cheap, but Disappointing - While the Aiper Scuba E1 is rather affordable, we found in our testing it only works on flat pools, has no intelligent pool mapping, and constantly needs to be recharged.
  • 3 Hours of Charging Daily - We disliked the short battery life, even after only the first few days of our tests. With a 100 minute battery life, we had to charge it for over 180 minutes to get it back in the pool a second time in a day - compared to other pool robots that run automatically daily with a Weekly Timer.
  • Weaker Motors - Compared to the best robotic pool cleaners, the motors filter over hundreds of gallons less per hour
  • Top Load Filter - One of the bright sides is the Aiper's top-loading filter. But it still cannot rival the results we got with the Dolphin Escape with MaxBin and NanoFilters
  • Flat Pools Only - If you have any uneven surface in your pool, avoid this robot. The Aiper Scuba E1 only cleans flat pool floors and cannot handle inclines or climb the wall.
  • Shorter 1 Year Warranty - The Scuba E1 has a shorter warranty than most robotic pool cleaners.

Aiper Scuba E1 Review

An In-Depth Review by Robert Knight

Introduction

Immerse yourself in a pool cleaning experience like no other with the Aiper Scuba E1. An addition to the innovative world of Aiper Scuba, this robotic pool cleaner has truly outperformed our expectations after three months of consistent testing.
Boasting user-friendly features, the E1 has capitalized the market with its blend of advanced technology and convenience. Highlights include its robust cleaning capabilities and smart navigation which provide that spotless, sparkling pool we all aim for.
Considering its overall performance and the value it provides, we're confidently recommending the Aiper Scuba E1. Its impressive track record assures not only a meticulously cleaned pool but also a hassle-free pool cleaning experience. However, if for some reason the Aiper Scuba E1 doesn't fully meet your requirements, we suggest looking into the Dolphin ProLine and Dolphin Max-Series. These robotic pool cleaners have consistently delivered exceptional performance according to our comprehensive tests and studies.

Pool Types

The Aiper Scuba E1 robotic pool cleaner is specifically designed to cater to above ground pools. Given the unique design and size of above ground pools, this robot pool cleaner is engineered with a thoughtful design that can easily navigate and clean every corner of these types of pools. Its optimal performance is experienced in pools with flat surfaces, which is a common characteristic of above ground pools.
This isn't to say that the Aiper Scuba E1 only excels in above ground pool cleaning. The robot is just as capable in other types of pools, providing they adhere to a flat surface foundation. Its sleek design coupled with advanced cleaning technology aids in attaining an impeccably clean pool, irrespective of its type.
The efficiency and convenience that the Aiper Scuba E1 robot pool cleaner brings to above ground and flat surfaced pool cleaning is outstanding. It takes away the hassle of manual cleaning, while ensuring the pool water is spotless for use. For more details and reviews of the Aiper Scuba E1 and other similar devices, explore our reviews here and the collection of the best robotic pool cleaners here.

Pool Coverage

The Aiper Scuba E1 does a phenomenal job when it comes to cleaning coverage. Utilizing a powerful motor, this robotic pool cleaner is able to not only scrub the pool floor but also climb the walls. Yes, you read it right. The Aiper Scuba E1 is designed to ensure that the entire pool, from the floor to the walls, is thoroughly clean.
Moreover, it excels at scrubbing the waterline, a place where algae and other residues commonly build up. This is a feature that is often overlooked but can make a significant difference in the cleanliness and overall aesthetics of your pool.
When it comes to pool shape compatibility, the Aiper Scuba E1 shows no discrimination. It performs equally well in flat pools as well as those with irregular shapes. Angles, corners, or curves, this little cleaning wonder tackles them all with relative ease. Its adaptability to a wide range of pool types makes it a favored choice among pool owners.

Filtration

My first encounter with the ProLine robotic pool cleaner was an eye-opening experience. Notably, what piqued my interest the most was its NanoFiltration ability. This handy feature is something that sets ProLine apart from its competitors.
The NanoFiltration system, as I observed, goes deeper than most filtration systems on most robotic cleaners. It doesn't just remove leaves, sticks, and the usual debris you'd expect in a pool. Instead, it goes a step further, removing even the tiniest particles that can cloud your pool water and imbalance your pool chemistry.
Having tested numerous pool robots, I can confidently say ProLine's NanoFiltration system provides a level of thoroughness that's hard to beat. Whether your pool is besieged by fine dust, pollen, or even algae spores, I saw first hand that the ProLine pool robot is able to filter these out and leave the water sparkling clear.
It reaffirmed my bias towards robotic cleaners that prioritize deep cleaning. The ProLine's NanoFiltration ability is a testament to the manufacturer's dedication to quality and efficiency, producing a cleaner that goes above and beyond in ensuring our pools stay pristine. This makes it well worth the investment.

Cleaning Performance

In our extensive test pools, the Dolphin ProLine and the Max-Series demonstrated exceptional cleaning capabilities, effortlessly removing fine particles and larger debris. The Premier, Sigma, Quantum, Cayman, and Escape variants were equally impressive, delivering pristine pool condition after each run. The Dolphin pool robots' prowess is attributed to their sophisticated mapping algorithms and powerful suction systems which ensure comprehensive pool coverage.
Our daily monitoring of their operation revealed that these corded powerhouses consistently performed above expectations. We noted the convenience of the weekly timer option, which offered an uncomplicated, hands-free operation. Each day, they dutifully sprang into action, requiring no additional interaction except for periodic filter cleaning.
The Dolphin Explorer robotic cleaner, although not as compelling as its ProLine and Max-Series peers, nonetheless showed satisfactory results in clearing our test pools of dirt. It tackled cleaning tasks effectively but required a tad more supervision compared to the others. Despite this, we appreciated its functionality, especially considering its affordable price range.
Aquabot also struck us as a solid contender in the budget segment. It handled the corner-to-corner scrubbing of our test pools well, contributing to its status as an excellent value-for-money option. Broadly speaking, all of these robotic pool cleaners delivered extraordinary performances that exceeded our expectations. We advise potential consumers to consider our detailed review scores, with anything above 90 indicating a superior product.

Restocking Fee

Cordless

Investigating the mechanism behind robotic pool cleaners, I have always come across two types - corded and cordless. Through the intensive testing and comparison of over a hundred robots, we have determined that corded robotic cleaners hold a clear advantage over their cordless counterparts.
Corded cleaners often outperform the cordless variants in terms of power and efficiency. Unlike cordless machines, they don't need a battery that requires frequent charging. The continuous power supply ensures the machine keeps going with the same intensity, providing an unwavering cleaning performance.
Reflecting on my experiences using these machines, I found I could set a weekly timer on most corded cleaners, allowing for practically "hands-off" pool maintenance. The level of automation achievable with corded robots is truly remarkable.
On the other hand, cordless robotic cleaners have their own set of drawbacks. The most obvious one is the daily interaction and charging necessity. In our fast-paced lives, the convenience of automated maintenance provided by corded cleaners has a distinct edge over the regular maintenance required by the cordless variants. Another critical aspect is longevity. In my experience, cordless cleaners don't last as long as their corded counterparts, who consistently demonstrated superior durability and longevity. It's no surprise that corded pool cleaners have a higher preference amongst professional users who value consistent performance and reliability.

Weekly Timer

The concept of a weekly timer in a robotic pool cleaner stands paramount. It brings forth convenience, condenses your cleaning routine into a systematic schedule, and allows you to pretty much "set-and-forget" your pool cleaning tasks. Essentially, this feature is undeniably handy, and we firmly believe it's a necessity for any pool robot worth considering.
Unfortunately, not all robotic pool cleaners come equipped with this handy feature. And it's a significant downside, in our opinion. If a pool cleaner lacks a weekly timer option, it equates to a lack of essential automation. This absence means you have to manually start the pool cleaner every time you want it to clean. And honestly, wouldn't you want to avoid this extra chore?
On the brighter side, brands like Dolphin, particularly in their new ProLine and Dolphin Max-Series, have integrated weekly timers into their automated pool cleaners. This embodied feature liberates users from daily micro-management, allowing them to focus their time and energy elsewhere. Hence, if you're considering a Dolphin Premier, Sigma, Quantum, Cayman, or Escape, rest assured, they've got you covered with a weekly timer!
In conclusion, we're compellingly passionate about robotic pool cleaners having a weekly timer feature. It truly can make the difference between a mundane or an effortless pool maintenance experience. When considering your purchase, it's key to prioritize pool robots with this function. The sheer automation and convenience it offers are worthy of the investment. Trust us; you'll appreciate a pool cleaning experience that operates on autopilot.

Overview

The Aiper Scuba E1 robotic pool cleaner is a reliable choice for those seeking a compact, smart, and efficient cleaning solution for their swimming pool. Although it might not rank as high as our favorites such as the Dolphin ProLine, Max-Series or the budget-friendly Aquabot, the Aiper Scuba E1 offers significant performance that cannot be overlooked. Constructed with advanced technology, the E1 prides itself on an impressive automated cleaning setup. Equipped with AutoDock tech, the E1 has a knack for pond-style pools. The cleaner robot diligently works to scrubs, vacuums and filters dirty lines, offering satisfactory results in less time. One of the features we appreciate is the E1’s capability to navigate and adjust its path automatically, minimizing the chances of getting stuck. Intelligent route planning ensures all parts of your pool - walls, floors, and waterline - are thoroughly cleaned. However, its cleaning finesse does not extend to steps and sharp corners, a pitfall reported by some users. The E1 is also beaten by corded counterparts in terms of power and durability but for those looking for ease and convenience, it could be a fit. Furthermore, the E1 takes a hit on the weekly automation feature, something that defines top-tier models like the Dolphin Premier or Sigma. It means owners will need to manually program the E1 more often. But not everything about the E1 is merely satisfactory. What sets the E1 apart is its ultra-lightweight design. Weighing only 6.6lbs, the E1 is one of the lightest robotic pool cleaners available on the market. Also, it impresses with its easy assembly and disassembly, user-friendly handling, and convenient bagless filtration system. In conclusion, the Aiper Scuba E1 might not leave a profound mark in a competition with top-notch cleaners like the Dolphin or Aquabot. However, its smart navigation, ease of use, and lightweight design make it a worthy contender in the mid-range category. It’s a reliable choice for those who prioritize convenience, smart navigation, and have a smaller pool landscape.

After intensive assessment and analysis, we highly recommend the Max-Series and ProLine robots by Dolphin. These models have shown exemplary performance in both commercial and personal settings.
