Update on 9/22/2022: Shortly after writing the initial review, Dolphin contacted me and took care of the issue very quickly. I did have to ship the unit back to them, but customer service was very good and the unit was returned to me in one week. Once they engaged with me, my experience was a very good one. My vac is working as good as new now. I bought a Dolphin Advantage and 6 months after it began acting up. Vac would start, move a foot or two and then stop dead. I had to remove the unit from the pool and leave it to dry out unplugged overnight. About a month after that it just stopped working all together. Contacted the company 2-weeks ago and still have not heard anything except to take a survey on how good their customer service was! Took the survey, gave a bad review and still have not heard. Warranty will run out soon. This company does not stand by its product. Warranty portal is poor and there is no notification that your warranty claim was received. Will never buy from this company again.

So I saw some reviews mentioned that it does not climb the walls, it absolutely does. It's light weight compared to my Aquabot and hopefully lasts longer.

At the end of summer I had to replace a larger, older Dolphin cleaner and there weren’t many available. This one fills the bill. Very easy to clean and thorough.

I previously had another brand of sweeper which when it worked, it was great but it seems we've been having a lot of problems with it plus it has a bag that I have to take out and clean and it's a pain where this sweeper has the basket and is so very easy to clean! I'm so glad we got it!

I loved the simplicity and was quite good at scrubbing the walls. I have an old pool and it was challenged to climb and clean them, but I didn't have an issue with that. You do have to check on the unit once in a while to ensure it not stuck under a ladder or something. Otherwise I had no issues for a year. Then the cleaning pattern started to decay. It would travel about 2 or 3 feet and the go into reverse and a few feet later start back in forward mode. Days later it would only travel a foot or two. It was obviously a controller issue. Fortunately, the unit was still under warranty, but no phone to call. You have to go online an essentially put in a ticket and wait for someone to call you. It's day-2 and I'm still waiting. Meanwhile, it's back to the nets to clean the pool. I'm getting a little anxious about our planned pool party in two weeks.

This has made my pool cleaning life amazing!!! Easy to use..easy to clean..and keeps pool spotless. Climbes walls, coves, stairs.

This was reccomended to me by a fellow firefighter. It is really easy to use and works good.

I've just had this for one week. My pool is pretty much clear of large debris (leaves and sticks) since I opened the pool. The set up was very easy, dropped it in the pool, pushed the button and off it went. It does not seem to pick up everything though and did not clean the entire pool in one cycle. I observed it for a while to see how it was cleaning. Some times it would pick up materials, other times as it approached the debris, it appears the movement of the brush or something else pushed it out of the way of the cleaner. The standard filter basket is fine enough to catch even the smallest grit, so much so that I noticed the filter basket would fill up with a mud like substance. Since I just opened the pool I imagine this is sediment collected over the winter. But I see no need to pay the extra for the extra fine filer. As for whether this unit is sufficient to use with a pool larger than 33' (product description reads ideal for up to 33'), I guess it depends where your power source is located. My pool a slight kidney shape and is approximately 40' long and 16' at its widest point. It runs parallel to the rear of my house. The power source lines up with the middle of our pool. I placed the control unit in the middle of the pool and there is PLENTY of cord. There is no area of the pool that is not covered due to cord length (there was just the issue of not covering the entire pool during a single cycle). If you have an extension cord, I see no reason to pay the $200 more for the one with the larger cord (up to 50' pool). The controls are very limited on this unit too. There are buttons for Bluetooth and another setting but that is not available for my unit. It was confusing on getting it to run a second time since the settings are 1) every day, 2) every other day or 3) every 3rd day. I just shut it off, turned it back on and eventually I could run it a second time. I want to like this robotic pool cleaner. It was a good price compared to many comparable robotic units, it looks cool, doesn't need to be connected to the pool suction (thus more energy efficient), it climbs the walls (versus my old Polaris that just skimmed the floor) and it has a large, easily accessible filter basket. I will give it some more time.

This works absolutely awesome on my medium size in ground fiberglass pool. Clubs the steps and the walls. I couldn’t ask for better and the price was right!

Lets start with the positives: Great suction power, easy to clean out collection basket, easy to use. The negatives: the Dolphin is not as smart as it states-1) After using it for a few months, I noticed that the Dolphin would randomly scrub the pool floor without much of a pattern. It would clean the same areas multiple times and leave other areas alone. If you launch the Dolphin in different areas of the pool it would help. 2) The Dolphin would get stuck on the slightly raised bottom pool drains. Using it for a few months now, I noticed that when the Dolphin rolls over my pool drains (the covers are slightly raised approximately 1/2 to 3/4 in. above pool floor) it would routinely stop and spin in place just above the drains. I noticed that the Dolphin would just spin while seeing that the "tank" tracks would rotate back and forth for minutes at a time before finally getting unstuck using its water jets to "lift" itself off the drains. Finally, it is a minor issue but I figure I mention it: the power cord sometimes gets tangled up. Some other Dolphin models have a anti-tangle swivel power cord but this model doesn't. No damage was done to the line but it takes a few extra minutes to unwind the tangles after its scheduled run. Overall, it does what it says it can do including cleaning the vertical walls of the pool. Just don't expect it to do a grid like pattern covering every square foot of the pool floor/wall.

I really feel that I had to make this revue , I must say that this pool cleaner is unbelievable, it does everything that is claimed in the description, I was skeptical because of some of the bad revues but I was so tired of dragging out the hoses to clean my pool every weekend that I went ahead spent the money. This machine is incredible , I watched it the first time I placed it in the pool and could not believe the intelligent pattern that it ran while not missing a single spot, now I must let you know that I have a rectangular pool with sharp corners , nothing is rounded and I think that the scanning it does works well with this shape pool, very basic , could not get over how it moved across the pool in a slightly overlapping pattern similar to one cutting grass, went up the walls and scrubbed the edges of the pool as well as the steps and deep side swim out, it even backs up and rotates it is amazing ,the pool is immaculate, and when I pulled the filter basket out I could not get over how much trash was in it, very fine sand and small algae and bugs. This DOLPHIN Advantage Automatic Robotic Pool Cleaner has set me free from weekend pool cleaning....I love it I live in south Florida and cleaning a pool in the summer is no fun, and no mater how many times I go over the pool bottom I can't get it as clean as this robot, its the scrubbing action and tremendous suction power that actually swills the water upward from the powerful vacuum..... all I know is that on my rectangular pool it works great!!!!!

The product is used to clean the bottom and sides of my pool. Suction power is pretty good. Easy to clean basket and controls.

The media could not be loaded. This robot is so easy to use and picks up so much dirt you didn't know you had! We had to return one before this because I don't think you can leave the actual battery part outside in the sun. The buttons bubbled up but the cleaner still worked. Now we wait till the evening time and put a towel over the battery pack. We live in Texas so the heat is really humid and HOT. The cleaner does go up in the walls but picks and chooses which walls. Gets the whole pool clean in less than an hour. Very easy to pick up and store in the garage. Basket in the robot is a big size and cleans off really easy.

I'm very particular when it comes to shopping for expensive products. I refused to buy a device that costs $1,000+. That said I don't want a poor quality product with no real functionality. This little pool robot turned out to be everything I asked for. It doesn't break the bank (relative to other robots on the market). It also works very well. The suction is great, it can scale the wall, and it's very easy to maintain/clean. I almost returned the robot initially because it wouldn't scale the wall. After pulling it out of the pool, I found out that some of my pool gunk (I put the robot through the ringer when I first got it) had blocked the two ports that suck the device to the pool wall/floor. After cleaning those ports (20 seconds of work) it worked like a charm again. It's been working like a champ and I haven't had to manually vacuum all season so far. I was pleasantly surprised. Highly recommend.

I love how easy this product was to "set up"; there's practically no set-up at all--simply attach the cord to the power source, then plug it in, place the robot in the water, and watch it go. Couldn't be easier to use! Super easy to clean the filter bucket after each use, and it's easy to carry to the robot to & from where you store it. The only reason why I'm not giving it 5 stars is because there are a few spots in my deep end that it never manages to get on its own. I have to brush down the debris into the center of the deep end floor in order for it to detect/pick up that debris. Overall, though I'm extremely satisfied and would highly recommend!

Easy to use and clean. Love it.

We bought this to replace a Polaris vacuum that ran off the pool's auxiliary port after the plumbing sprung a leak. Our pool guy suggested this model and said that it would be cheaper than fixing the plumbing and would be better overall. I'm happy to say he was right. The pool hadn't been vacuumed in about a week before we tossed this guy in, so it took 2 cycles to get everything clean. The basket was FULL of debris after the first cycle- pine needles, leaves, dirt, and even green algae. It climbs walls without a problem, doesn't get stuck, and just gets the job done. In retrospect, the old Polaris vacuum was too small for the pool, and took forever (using a ton of energy) to get the job done. This little robot is a major upgrade.

Love the ease of removing and cleaning the filter bin. It easily maneuvers over the drain filter (our old bot got stuck on it all the time), and I like the timer - so I don't have to remember to turn it off. Downside: It doesn't seem to be as effective at removing all of the debris and cleaning the walls as our old bot (still better than me doing it though!).

So far, so great. I’ve been spending way too much time in the sun using the vacuum head that you use through the skimmer. You can’t even compare the two. The hand vacuum is like a rusty bicycle with one tire. This robot is like a Ferrari. We ran it twice yesterday, once right out of the box and another in the evening because the pool bottom was a little rough. I wish I had taken a picture of the filter basket. We are very happy with the purchase. It’s pretty pricey but not too bad when you compare it with other robot options. Worth every penny for how much time I’m going to save by not having to do it myself. Will update again towards the end of summer, but so far I am very happy!

I love this Dolphin Advantage pool cleaner! It’s so easy, just plug it into its own power pack, gently drop it into the pool and press the on button. It cleans for about 2 hours or you can turn it off if you want to do a quick cleaning. To clean, hose off the parts and let dry. I use it on a 24’ round above ground pool. It cleans the floor, walls and stair sides. I do see some of the fine residue left in the middle but I think I might need to get the ultra fine basket to get rid of that. It’s a little heavy, especially when you remove it from the pool, but that doesn’t make me dislike it. All robotics are pricey but Amazon Prime’s no interest payment plan is appreciated.

Well after 2 weeks of use the little rubber (guides?) under the unit stated to fall out. It gets stuck on the bottom suction grates. Unless it approaches the wall straight on, it doesn't climb and just falls off and backs up for 20 seconds. The debris filter is very easy to clean. It's fairly light weight. Doesn't really scrub the ground or walls and remove algae which was the entire reason for buying. It's just ok.

Based on other reviews of the Dolphin Advantage and other Maytronics products I had very high hopes for this robot pool cleaner. I was pleasantly surprised when it was delivered 3 days earlier than predicted. The Advantage seems very well built and I like the easy to clean basket and its ease of use. Put it in the water, adjust the power cord length, plug it all in and press start. Sad to say it just doesn't do the job I expected from what is billed as a "smart" device. It spent most of it's time in one corner and rarely climbed the walls. When it did decide to climb up the walls it was great. Amazing suction and I saw it move horizontally along the longest wall in my pool one time. Fantastic. Unfortunately it rarely decided to climb. With great regularity it would start to climb, maybe get 1/3 of the way up a wall, pause, think a bit, then reverse back down to the pool bottom. It did not slide off my walls. This was the robot's choice. So following the helpful hint section, I tried all kinds of things to no avail. It didn't matter where the power cord was positioned - which side of the pool, etc, or even the length of the cord. The instructions suggest the minimum length. No joy. I took the cleaner to a friend's house and tried it there. Same thing. Just did not cover the pool and tended to stay in one area. Both mine and theirs are small pools. Mine is very small at less than 3,000 gallons and mine does have bench seating on 3 walls. The robot was able to climb up onto the bench with no problem and then proceeded to climb up the outer wall above the bench up to the tile line. It just did not do that more than 3 times in the 2 hour clean cycle. I have read benches can be a problem for these devices and to just brush the tops of the benches before starting the robot. That completely negates any advantage. I want to put the robot in the water. Leave it alone for 2 hours. Come back to a clean pool. No brushing. No manual cleaning to get the missed spots.

We have an in ground fiberglass pool and for the first 4 uses it has worked great. We just had our roof replaced and lots of roof shingle debris had blown into the pool. I didn’t want the tiny rocks to go through the pool pump and I had been looking at these for a bit. I decided to go with this model as people said it will climb walls and will go to the water line and on the steps. Very happy with the purchase. So far i remove it after each use and store in an outdoor Rubbermaid style box to stay out of the elements.

I bought this after getting tired of hand vacuuming our 18 ft round pool. I was impressed with how easy the set up was and how efficient the vacuum was! Our pool was what I thought to be clean the first time I used it but the filter (which is very easy to empty) had all sorts of grime in it! Another awesome moment, we were having a ridiculous amount of rain and our pool quickly turned green. Before putting algicide and shock in, I ran the dolphin for 2 different cycles, then put the chemicals in and we woke up to a crystal clear pool on the morning of our sons pool party!

The media could not be loaded. This is a gosh darn miracle worker. I did a little research before buying and couldn’t be happier. Needs hardly any setup out of the box. Sucks up leaves like a champ. Mesh so fine on the filter that dog hairs won’t get through (see photo). Climbs up walls. We live in a windy area and get tons of leaves in the pool. All I have to do is run this a few times and done! Love it! My husband said “this is one of the most satisfying purchases we’ve ever made. I’ll probably come back to heap even more praise on this miracle pool vacuum robot thingy, but this will have to do for now. Ps we named it Little Geek. Which my husband came up with and is a reference from The Abyss.

Love this Dolphin, I can set it up at 7a.m. at 9a.m. the pool looks great and ready to go!! It doesn’t get our steps, safety ledge and corners well, but I just brush them. Its much better than what I can do in an hour looking down and vacuuming by hand!!

Like others here, I have been spending twice the price for these robots and the end result is really about 4~5 years of service. I took a chance with this system and so far, a couple of months in, this thing performs as well as it’s twice the price competition! Awesome Dolphin!!

Easy to use, worth the money

Overall this unit works pretty well. It cleans my pool and saves a lot of vacuuming. It does miss some spots, but nothing I can't handle with a little brushing. My only real complaint is it seems to "pop to many wheelies" forgive me if it's not the right term. Just seems it may be a little to buoyant.

The robot is an incredible tool but useless after the collection basket broke. The door of the collection basket won't stay shut so the debris just leaks right back into the pool. Now I have to waste time going through the warranty runaround. An investment of almost $700.00 and now I gotta put up a fight. What a disappointment.

We have a San Juan fiberglass pool - 12'X24', and this vacuum is a great solution for the days I don't have time to hand vacuum. It climbs the walls and some of the steps really well, and the vacuum itself is easy to clean and maintain. After a big, windy storm, this vacuum will clean 90-95% of the pool really well, but there will be some residual dirt to clean. This is our first summer to use it, so I hope it holds up over time. I cannot imagine spending the money on a Polaris, so this was a great solution to keep our pool sparkling. I removed one start because it does miss some areas some of the time. But, overall it is a good tool and I would buy it again.

Despite some of the negative reviews, I was very impressed by this machine. It kept the pool clean and I never had to manually vacuum it. I followed all use and care instructions and despite that, one of the 4 PLASTIC clips that keep the motor compartment enclosed and dry broke and as a result the motor compartment got water in it and ruined it. To replace the motor, it is almost as much as the machine was brand new. I still don't know how or why one clip broke and none of the others, it was in the basket one day when I went to clean it. Aside from this, the motor compartment should be secured by something more than 4 plastic clips as there is no need to access the compartment for regular cleaning or maintenance. Great product, horrible quality.

My 15 year old Dolphin Diagnostic pool cleaner died so I was forced to get the new one. I have an 18X36 gunite pool and this new cleaner did a great job. First use it cleaned a pretty dirty pool in two hours. It is so much lighter and easier to clean I almost wish the old one would have died sooner. If this lasts half as long at the old one I will be very happy. Delivery time was as promised and the price was very reasonable.

I have a 14k gallon pool so some of the other models were just overkill. This little guy is perfect ! We call him George. It’s light in weight so I can put it in and out, it cleans thoroughly in one cycle, and the filter is easy to clean. It actually picked up everything in our pool way better than expected ! We have a neighboring tree line of 5-7 crape myrtles and the debris is heavy and it did amazing. It climbs the walls and scrubs too. Would highly recommend for smaller pools and the price point !! No WiFi bells and whistles but I didn’t need them :) happy cleaning !

I love my Advantage pool bot. Saves me a lot of time and effort. Easy to clean. I just spray off the exterior, pull the collection basket out and spray the debris out. Note: I did discover two strainers on the bottom of the bot. You need to check and clean if needed.

Does a thorough cleaning of the pool including the waterline tile. Doesn't clean our tan ledge, though this may be caused by the limitation of pool size for this model being 33ft. Minor issue since we can just use our pool brush to clean the tan ledge. Very easy to operate!

This is the 2nd dolphin pool cleaner I've owned! I Can't say enough good things about this product!!

The media could not be loaded. The only issue I have with my pool is dust settling at the bottom. This vacuum came with a fine (screen) filter basket. The suction is awesome and it’s very easy to use. However, it did not vacuum the dust, only spits it back into the pool. Ordered the ultra fine filters and it does so much better, or we thought. After running a 3 hour cycle and looking at it the next day, dust is once again settled on the bottom. We took the basket out and it was brown so it’s cleaning somewhat but not all the fine dust. Wish they made an ultra ultra fine filter. So, we are debating whether to return it or not.

After much research, this time I decided to go with an electric pool cleaner versus a suction-side cleaner. This cleaner is super-easy to use - just unbox it, connect the cable, plug it in and go. I was surprised at how well-constructed it was. It cleaned the entire pool (12x24 in-ground) with no problems. It was also really easy to clean the filter box. In all, I'm impressed.

MAD as heck! I received this Maytronics Dolphin on 7/2/2022. It only lasted one month. It is dead. Will not move! I am so disappointed because my previous Maytronics Dolphin lasted 6+ years w/o fail, w/o any issues EVER! I ran that old puppy every day from March to October. It was a workhorse. I assumed this newer version would be just as reliable. NOPE!!! It lasted one month. ONE FREAKING MONTH. I can't get my money back from the seller b/c it's been over 30days!

The media could not be loaded. I call it Johnny Sucker 2. This vacuum it’s great. I only use it once a week or when I am going to use the pool. Cleans my pool very well, once in a while leaves few things around but not biggie. He goes up the walls and even steps. Recommend it.

Very impressed by this vacuum. It quickly and efficiently cleans the pool, including the sides. Nothing is left behind as it passes. Cleaning the vacuum is quick and easy. Pull it from the water, open top, left out the basket, release the bottom latch and most debris falls right out. A quick squirt with the garden hose and you're done. Highly recommend it

Disappointed. My 4 year old one died on me and that older model would clean the whole pool in 2-3 runs despite being a much older model. This much much newer model couldn’t clean %20-30 of the pool no matter how many times it ran. Still cleans well but not just the whole pool. Oh and the wheelies that other users are mentioning is true. A fault in design I am assuming. For its price point I would’ve wanted a better performance.

I read the other reviews of the Dolphin Advantage and other Dolphin vacuums and decided to give it a shot. The unit looks very good and sturdy. I put it inside the swimming pool ( 10'x16') and noticed that repeated cleaning the same areas over and over and left some other parts of the pool un-visited. Having already a stick vacuum, I wanted to buy this item because of the wall cleaning, but it rarely climbed the walls or only did it partially. The movement throughout the pool is completely random, not following any kind of pattern, you will see it in one corner, and then in the middle, and then back to the same corner, and then to another location with no logic at all. So sad, but I will return it... could be an amazing product if it worked like my inside-the-house robot vacuum.

It can take a long time to clean the bottom of the pool, if you're wanting for it to clean the entire bottom. Some areas get cleaned more than once, some, not at all!

Cleans my pool awesome. Only down fall is i think that you should not have to restart it every 7 days, and there should be a button for instant cleaning. Normally mine cleans in the evening due to realizing its shut off after 7 days and coming home from work and realizing this. But when we have a pool party I have to turn if off and back on, then the scheduled time has changed.

Seems to clean the same areas over and over. doesn't clean sides of the whole pool - just certain spots. doesnt get into corners very well. won't climb my stairs or get to the tanning ledge. wish I would've bought the "old timey" kind you do by hand. way overpriced.

I may update this review later but, for now, all I can say is that a device this simple should not be this difficult to set-up. Dolphin Advantage is not a product on Dolphin's site. Not a good start. The manual and quick start guide are NOT complete. For pete's sake the power supply only has 3 functions and the manual - the one that comes with it and what you can find on Dolphin's site - does NOT explain all three. Don't get me started on the app. There are two apps you can download. One directed me to download the other. That one could see the bluetooth connection on the power supply but refused to connect to it. Makes zero sense. Nothing should be this complicated to use. No user manuals / set-up guides should be this bad....especially for something this simple. Hopefully it cleans my pool correctly because otherwise this becomes a zero star situation. So frustrating.

This would be a great pool cleaner except for one little thing, it needs one more filter at the water discharge end. It has a tendency to spew small particulates out the discharge side once the internal filters become clogged with debris making a second, and sometimes third cleaning, inevitable.

Into my second season using the cleaner and couldn't be happier. Had a big storm and pool was filled with dead leaves and in two hours it was clean. Highly recommend it.

Arrived earlier than expected. Dropped in the pool which still had winter yuck including dead algae in it. Cleaner did a great job cleaning the pool. It climbed the walls easily. It did miss a few spots the first cleaning but overall better than I could clean it manually on waste. When I cleaned the basket there was even fine hair in it. Been wanting one for a while and finally got it. Pool is a vinyl Doughboy pool that is completely in the ground.

This is an early informational review, I've only had it a short time. Amazon suggests purchasing this cleaner along with the p/n 9996098 (model 2011) caddy. However the caddy does not fit the smaller power supply that comes with the standard size "Advantage" cleaner. I called Maytronics, they were very responsive and they sent me a three-part adapter kit which mounts the power supply up near the top instead of in the base of the caddy.

Ordered a robot from Doheny's - it was terrible in all respects. Poor customer service, poor workmanship, poor performance. Returned it to them in July - still waiting for them to refund my money as of August 28 (they say they never received it despite the fact that UPS states that it was delivered back on July 24) So, I bought this Dolphin advantage and it works great! I wish the warranty was longer then 1 year - but it really works great! Has no problems with leaves, sticks AND fine debris. Also, this one doesn't constantly get stuck like the Doheny's did.

Had pool cleaner for over a month. Very pleased . Some reviewers have said it won’t climb walls——-but it does. Very pleased. Don’t see advantage to buying a more expensive dolphin cleaner. This one works perfectly...so far. Also bought the cart

We are so happy with this vacuum. It cleans the pool floor and walls. It is so simple to use and clean. It’s lightweight enough to pull out of the water. I highly recommend this vacuum.

Time saver and Frustration SAVER! Just plug it in, drop it in and watch it in amazement. No way my children could do a job this well. Love to see it climb the walls on the pool. No regrets on this purchase.

This pool cleaner picked up everything in my 30x15 above ground pool. The basket that was included captures everything from leaves to dirt or sand. Should have made this purchase a long time ago.

I originally have a nu cobalt but it quit on me couple of months. I started looking for a new one and I found this robotic pool cleaner named him Jarvis. I love this pool cleaner it cleaned very well doesnt miss any spot, scrub the th wall of my pool really good. Easy to clean since it's a top loader, my only complain it doesnt have big baskets I hope but other than that best cleaner I ever purchased.

I have a small pool just under 9000 gallons and this is the only pool vacuum I'd recommend. Only issue is it does not clean steps or underwater seating well. Great on leaves and fine dirt.

The Dolphin was easy to operate. It does a very good job and goes around the whole pool. The basket is easy to remove and clean.

Product performed well both times I h@ve used it so far. Even scrubs the walls around the spa area wher3 it is 6’ deep, without a problem!

Do you take a chance on this? I did and much to my surprise it works. Just remember it is not an intelligent machine, its like a rumba for the pool. It doesn't do steps but it does climb the side of the pool. It has drastically cut maintenance time. Now we'll see how long it lasts.

This pool cleaner does a great job. I had a travertine pool deck installed over my old concrete pool deck and ended up with a lot of play sand in the bottom of my pool. This pool cleaner did a great job of cleaning it up. I like it because it does not pull the debris through my pool filter. It has its own basket that everything goes into and easy to clean out. The shipping was surprisingly fast. Very happy with my new purchase.

I love this robot vacuum! The company shipped it the next day. Very easy to use, cleaning the basket you just rinse with your outdoor hose. The handle is convenient to put it in and out of the pool. It cleans the sides, it’s fun to watch and works great!! Very happy with this purchase.

I'm reserving judgement awaiting an email from Maytronics. We had a cheaper robot that died after 5 years. It cleaned the pool and walls really well. It did have a bag that was a pain to clean. I was unpleasantly surprised that this robot did not clean large areas of pool and did not climb the walls in the deep end. It cleaned the same areas over and over again. It was very easy to clean. As stated am waiting for suggestions from Maytronic; if this is the best the cleaner can do, then it was not worth the money. Maytronics did replace the cleaner. It cleans better then the original one did, but still does not clean whole pool in the clean cycle. Even repeating the cycle, areas of pool not clean. I would not buy the cleaner again. Although the basket is easy to clean I am finding I have to brush down the sides of the deep end and the crevices before using the robot; they are not clean after 2 cycles of cleaning. I really can't recommend this cleaner. The price does not justify the quality of this product.

Had dolphin recommended from another pool owner and decided to purchase here. Works great and very easy to clean with lift out basket. Sucks up alot of the debris and climbs high on walls. Also bought extra warranty for extended protection. Been using for alittle over a week and very happy with results so far.

After a storm or just as normal maintanence, it works perfectly. Cleans the pool fast and gets every single leaf etc. every single time. The water actually looks clearer afterward too...not only the bottom but all the water. Very powerful suction and does a good job climbing the walls and scrubbing the top too.

Love this robot, I haven't had to vacuum the pool once! The robot cleans the bottom and goes up the sides and it doesn't even hook up to the filter. Easy to use, light enough to put in and take out easily. Super easy to clean the basket. I highly recommend this product.

This little machine works wonderful to keep my pool surface areas clean. It’s a good little workhorse. Very easy to empty the basket. I have a bad back so cannot vacuum the pool myself and this dolphin really works great!

The lid at bottom of filter basket did not remained closed during 2nd year of use.

Last weekend a major storm hit and coming down the hill must have been some mud, never happened before, once I got pool cleared up, there ways settlement at bottom, when i tried to vacuum it just stirred it up and made it cloudy, I ordered this and first 3 hour sweep, pool is clear, it did stir up a little , but was extremely pleased with this unit, worth every penny !

Yup, yup, yup. Does exactly what it says. Very easy to use and set up. The only thing in question is the automatic scanning the bottom of pool and covering 100% of the bottom and sides with every cycle. That is doubtful. However, it gets the job done, the pool looks great, and i totally recommend this product.

Not happy about the cost, but our previous vacuum quit and we thought we would try a different brand. It’s a whole lot easier to clean than the net bag type cleaner. We only used it for about a month before we closed our pool For the winter. I think it will be fine though.

Best pool cleaner I’ve owned

We have a 16 X 32 in ground pool. We purchased this to replace an old bag unit that come with the house we purchased 3 years back. After shopping locally and comparing pricing I was skeptic due to being on the lower end if the price scale. I have to say it is so much better and easier to clean.

We had a Blue Diamond pool cleaner for 11 years that was fantastic. When it finally died we bought a Dolphin Advantage that lasted one season and stopped working. We did not want to spend another $1000 so we bought this based on decent reviews. We are not impressed. The basket is definitely much nicer than the bag that the other 2 cleaners had but that’s about it. I have to run this thing 3 times and our pool (16x32) still has dirty spots in it. It’s like it doesn’t go to all areas of the pool. And what’s crazy the shallow end is left dirtier than the deep end. I guess you get what you pay for.

This machine can clean! Was very nervous buying the cheaper version...I should not have been. This thing works brilliantly, couldn’t be any easier to get going and has functioned flawlessly. Like others, I can’t believe I waited so long to buy this, I love it! Sure there are double scrubber versions, but this single one works perfectly fine!

I had a more expensive pool vac that died on us. This one does everything the other one did and cost half the price.

This is the second Dolphin robotic pool cleaner I've had in one month. Sending the second one back (like the first one) because it stopped working altogether after running it just a few cycles. Same thing happened to the first one, which I also returned. i read all the manuals (paper an on line) which offered no help whatsoever excepting cleaning the impeller -- which had nothing blocking it anyway. I spent hours trying to contact customer service via phone to no avail. Line was always busy. What good is customer service if you can't get through??? I QUIT. Am going to buy something local. VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED IN BOTH PRODUCT AND LACK OF CUSTOMER SUPPORT. Thank goodness for Amazon return policy.

I love this vacuum, I throw it in the pool and it gets clean . I can’t use a regular hose and vacuum, but the robot does just as good a job.

One of the large wheel caps and one of the wheel treads falls off every time I use it. It’s a pain. It does clean dirt easily. Leaves, it’s hit or miss. Sometimes it makes them float up as it moves by, other times they get cause in the wheels , other times it sucks them up.

It does a great job tackling the huge amount of leaves from this fall. Very happy with this purchase!

Bought this bad boy in February of 2021. It is December 2021 and now the vacuum stops after 2 minutes of run time. I took it apart to check for obstruction and didn't find anything. The gears pop when I does run. Unfortunately even if you baby it like I did it will still fall apart on you.

The dolphin was easy to use, light weight and easy to clean. It didn't work as well as the shark pool vacuum I had before. I was disappointed with it's performance overall.

To be clear, the machine was very impressive, at first. It was so much better than our old pool vacuum. But, the basket that catches all of the debris has a latch on the bottom that must be released in order to clean it properly. The latch does not catch, which means the basket has a bottom that will never hold once it is removed from the vacuum. Again, the one star on "easy to clean" is because it is impossible to clean the vacuum properly with a basket that doesn't function properly.

Worked well for about 6 months of light use in a small pool. This past week, it just refused to power up. Replacement power supply costs almost as much as buying new again which, of course, I will not be doing. A lot of money wasted here for a lesser product/manufacturer. Steer clear.

My previous pool vacuum lasted five years. This one died in less than a year and a half. The warranty for most of the parts is only for 12 months. I won't be buying this brand again.

In the advertising doesn't say you have to clean the impeller. Don't I don't recommend this item at all. This item is NOT worth what I paid for. It doesn't clean well. It just plays around the pool moving the debris from one part to the other. Not HAPPY!

Do not buy this! Go with the Polaris P955. I'm OCD and stay on top of chemical level and skimming the pool. The Dolphin is an inferrior product in my opinion and the comparison I have by owning both. Believe the other comments if you want, regretfully I did. Their more expensive models may be ok but I have no facts on them. The Polaris is the real deal. And the cords on both models will get tangled up.

Although it’s easy to clean and easy to use, it doesn’t do a good job at cleaning. The basket is never full. Not even half full even if pool is full of debris. The cord is a pain and tangles no matter what you do to it. Whatever it does suck in goes out the back exhaust. This thing does willies with its back wheels instead of staying on pool floor. Rarely climbs up walls. A complete waste of time and money.

This worked amazingly for about a month after that the cord started tangling to a point where the vacuum can only cover a very small area of the pool. I am still waiting for a resolution from the company, but overall very disappointing. It's not worth the money.

Did not work well for our pool. It kept repeating the same area over and over again. Even if you moved it to a different area, it went right back to the old and repeated itself. Sent it back.

I have an above ground pool 27x 12. I love this pool cleaner. I've had it for three years and no problem. It amazes me how it cleans the sides of the pool. So easy to pop in the pool and turn on. It keeps my pool so clean! No problem to rinse out the filters with the hose and replace back into the machine. The only problem I have is just sitting in my chair and watching it clean. It's so relaxing lol. I call him "My little Buddy". Best purchase ever.

Very disappointed with this purchase. I a have attempted to use it several time and after every use I still need to vacuum the pool for all the stuff the vacuum missed. The vacuum often goes over the same spot repeatedly. And when transiting from the deep to shallow end, it does not stay flat in the pool bottom, so missing anything on the slope.

Didn't cover 20 foot pool entirely in one 2 hour session. Constantly getting stuck on stairs. Often would move around with two wheels up in the air, suction/cleaner not touching bottom, thus cleaning nothing.

Bought on March 25, 2020 and just a couple weeks out of warranty it doesn’t work. It pops up on back wheels, sets down & doesn’t move. $599 is very expensive to only last 1 year.

Product did not work. When asked for assistance, received a return slip for FedEx and a refund. No assistance provided.

Works great when it works. Broke down in 45 days. Seller refused to help and said to seek warranty from Manufacturer. Can't get hold of manufacturer, go through infinite phone message loop and cant get to a human voice.

It collects some dust and debris but mostly it returns it to the pool and when it's done your pool will be all cloudy.

I was a little worried that since this said it was for pools up to 33 feet that it wouldn't work for mine, but I was happy to see that by putting this a little closer to the edge than the recommended 12 feet, it worked fine. The actual cord is about 45 feet long. You could also position this near the middle of the pool and then it only has to travel 20 feet each way so the cord is plenty long. Climbs us the walls in my 10 feet deep end and moves from deep end to shallow end easily. Does not get the stairs, but that is not an issue to me and I wouldn't expect it to climb those. Works fine under my cover and getting around floats. Great suction power and cleans up leaves, sand, and even sucked up some diving toys I accidentally left in with no problem. The operation is similar to a robotic vacuum like we use in the house - kind of runs in different diagonals and weird paths, but it does get my pool clean in about 3 hours. Very happy with the time it saves me on cleaning and it was well worth the cost.

My Dolphin advantage cleaned the pool on Monday while my daughter and nephew went to our local park that has a sanded beach area. The kids can't straight home that evening and hopped in the pool. I skipped cleaning on Tuesday and decided to run it on Wednesday. I couldn't get over the sand that was collected out of the pool that day along with other debris. I love that it cleans the walls, floor and waterline. The Hassel of a pool has became rather pleasurable. Instead of cleaning the pool we get to play in it. Best purchase that I made for the pool. The second is the instapark solar powered skimmer. Pool life is good!

I have 24ft round above ground dished bottom pool. It cleans the pool of, leaves etc alglee and fine silt not as well, because if you don't run it for a day or so you can see it on the bottom but not nearly as much as before (I would say 70-80% cleaner) but I did notice the filter pressure increased right after the cleaning, so it's filtering out the fine stuff. Over time it will continue to improve, overall I'm happy with it. I havn't figured it out yet how it can climb straight up the curved walls but it does. no problems. The 4hrs month saving in vacuuming time plus it cleans much more often than I could.... is woth the price. I put off getting a robot vacume for more that 20 yrs.... waiting for the price to drop and for the robots to improve, I'm glad I finally gave in

We had an older dolphin model that lasted 5 years +(purchased in mid 2015), just recently died. Had previous models that didn't last quite as long. We had the most recent sweep plugged into a surge protector(with battery to even out energy flow). From what I understand, you can't use a extension cord and you have to protect the electronics from fluctuating power levels. The electronics are sensitive to that. I like these dolphin sweeps better than a water pressure sweep.

Bought this to replace an older dolphin pool cleaner. There are several features that make me wish I bought this one years ago. 1.) Faster water release on rear. Very little water removed from the pool. Old one seemed to dump a full capacity load of water outside the pool each time it was removed. 2.) Sinks on it's own. Old one had to be inverted and held upside down for all the air to come out. 3.) Top-load basket that can be pulled out, dumped, and returned in seconds. Was a 15 minute process with out old unit. Unit had to be turned upside down, remove cleaning section, remove cloth filter (which my kids affectionately called a robot diaper because of it's appearance and smell), spray with hose and get nasty robot poop splattered all over oneself, fiddle with returning the cloth filter/diaper properly fitted back into the machine, etc...

The media could not be loaded. So far so good! Easy to set up. Even works with BLUETOOTH APP on your phone so you can specify times etc or quick clean etc.

This is my second Dolphin. They went backwards, lost the untangling electric line, what a pain. I guess they went Chinese on the controller because I'm on my second one. I'll shop somewhere else.

It never worked and was returned for refund. Bought a similar one from another dealer and it works well.

I love this pool robot. It cleans the pool efficiently. It also climbs the walls. The basket is easy to clean and much better than cleaning the robots with a "sock".

Love that it does the waterline and how much it circulates the water when the pump isn't running. I have a small in ground vinyl liner pool 12000 gallons 22 feet round with a drop away bottom and the vacuum reaches every part of the pool easily.

Purchase in late August of 2021, used for about two months once per week, as our pool does not get a lot of trash and junk from trees or anything else. Went to use it last week, it does not move, just agitates the water, the kind of money they charge it ought to be better built, to top it all off, their CSRs are rude, no one has a solution, in the meanwhile my one yesr warranty is running. I wonder if they are just waiting for it to run out to return any calls. Real sorry seller!

Not impressed with this pool cleaner. For $639 I expected it to clean better. Cord almost too short to cover pool. My Atlantis had two rollers. This has one. Doesn’t climb stairs. Hope it lasts more than the Atlantis I had-3 years!
