The upcoming Dolphin Liberty 400 is set to be released in Spring 2023 and is the first battery-powered robotic pool cleaner from Dolphin. It boasts a lightweight and compact design, perfect in-ground and above ground pools, with a 1.5-hour cleaning cycle that can reach both the bottom and walls.
Will it clean the waterline?
We are yet to find out if it will have waterline cleaning capability, which is a feature found among Dolphin's top robotic pool cleaners such as the Dolphin Sigma, Dolphin Premier, and Dolphin Quantum. Additionally, we are keen to discover if the battery can sustain the cleaning power of corded units.
No Replaceable Battery
Unfortunately, it does not feature a replaceable battery between charges - you must charge for 6 hours before using again - but its ergonomic design makes it easy to handle and empty quickly when removed from water as well as its large capacity inner filter basket with top access and transparent lid so finding debris won't be an issue.
In comparison to other models such as the Dolphin Liberty 600, Liberty 700s, and Liberty 800s, which all feature a removable/replaceable battery (Coming in 2024!), the Dolphin Liberty 200, 300, 400 only have inductive charging capabilities. The Liberty 400 also features tracks for grip on all surfaces; an active front brush; advanced scanning software/navigation system CleverClean™; and a reliable warranty from Maytronics.
