The Nautilus CC Pro is a robotic pool cleaner that promises to make pool maintenance a breeze, but is it worth your investment? In this review, we'll take a closer look at its features, performance, and overall value to help you make an informed decision.
The successor to the Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus, the Dolphin Nautilus CC Pro looks to expand upon the features that were missing. With the addition of waterline cleaning and the myDolphin Plus smarthphone app, the Nautilus CC Pro is an upgrade in every way. But the real question is can it live up to the top tier robotic pool cleaners?
Well, maybe.
What's Good:
The Nautilus CC Pro has great pool coverage, being able to clean your entire pool floors, walls, and even waterline. It has the smartphone app, two scrubbing brushes, and an anti-tangle swivel. It is a simple plug and play design with a single start button, as everything is controlled by the myDolphin Plus App.
What's Not So Good:
It is missing a good chunk of features still that you'll likely want. It doesn't have multiple filter options, so if you have cloudy pool water or struggle with leaves, it may not be as effective as other pool robots. The Nautilus CC Pro can only be controlled by the myDolphin Plus App. So every time you want to start or schedule the unit, you'll have to pull up the app - which can be a pain. The CC Pro also doesn't include a full filter indicator or the ability for remote control as Maytronics reserves this feature for the top end units. It has a shorter warranty as well when compared to other robots.
All in All:
The Nautilus CC Pro is a simple robot, with some upper level features, but with only 1 filter option, a shorter warranty, and the lack of features found on the myDolphin Plus app, there are still better options out there.
The Dolphin Nautilus CC Pro
One of the standout features of the Nautilus CC Pro is its advanced cleaning technology. Equipped with dual scrubbing brushes, this robot can effectively remove even the toughest dirt, debris, and algae from your pool's walls and floor. Additionally, the Nautilus CC Pro utilizes CleverClean Technology to map out your pool's shape and size, ensuring complete and thorough coverage.
However, despite its impressive technology, the Nautilus CC Pro falls short in some key areas. For one, it's not the easiest pool cleaner to operate. The Dolphin Nautilus CC Pro can only be controlled by the myDolphin Plus App to schedule cleanings. The cleaners without the app can be programmed directly on the power supply with a simple push of a button. We don't know why Maytronics didn't leave the buttons on the power supply, as it is a downgrade in everyway.
The Nautilus CC Pro's myDolphin Plus smarthphone app is missing some features that you'll find on other Maytronics cleaners such as the ability to manually remote control the cleaner. This is a nice feature to have if you struggle with certain areas of your pool or even want to let the kids drive the robot around.
Furthermore, while the robot is designed to clean most types of pools, it struggles with stairs and other hard-to-reach areas, leaving you with no choice but to manually clean these spots.
Despite these drawbacks, the Nautilus CC Pro does have some redeeming qualities. It cleans and vacuums the pool with ease. Additionally, its lightweight and compact design make it easy to maneuver and store, even in small spaces.
Overall, the Nautilus CC Pro is a decent robotic pool cleaner that's packed with some advanced features, but missing others. While it does have some limitations and drawbacks, it's still an effective cleaning tool that can save you time and effort when maintaining your pool. However, its a high price point while still lacking key features may not make it the best choice for everyone. If you're looking for a more user-friendly and affordable option, you may want to consider other robotic pool cleaners on the market.
